About
Welcome to Chaiiwala - Stretford, a vibrant gem tucked away at 89 Ayres Road in Old Trafford. This lively spot is not just another café; it’s a delightful culinary journey that beckons tea enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Known for its eclectic menu, Chaiiwala brings an exhilarating taste of South Asian street food and uniquely crafted beverages, perfectly blending tradition with creativity.
As soon as you step into Chaiiwala, the inviting atmosphere captivates you. Bright colors and a friendly ambiance make it an ideal place to relax or catch up with friends over a cup of their famous karak chai or the refreshing iced pink chai. I was particularly drawn to the inventive range of cold drinks, including the indulgent Mango Falooda and the invigorating Lemon Iced Chaii, which are perfect for a warm day.
Chaiiwala’s menu is a treasure trove of flavors. The street food section is truly impressive, featuring delights like the Karachi Bun Kebab, Chicken Tikka in Naan, and the crowd-favorite Pav Bhaji. Each dish reflects authentic culinary roots while embracing a modern twist. My personal highlight was the kebab roll, a savory indulgence that pairs beautifully with their signature chai.
Customer experiences speak volumes about Chaiiwala’s charm. Take Fatima Akram, for instance, who raved about the variety available and the economical deals, or Amina Munye, who appreciated the quick service and warm ambiance. Many patrons like Kristine Popkova and Alston Hanley highlighted the staff's exceptional attentiveness, particularly noting the delightful assistance they received, which made their visits memorable.
While the atmosphere and service shine, consistency is key – some reviews mention slight variations in chai quality. However, the warmth of the desi breakfast offerings and the bustling energy of the café frequently make up for this. The cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff create an overall pleasant dining environment that invites you to return.
In short, Chaiiwala - Stretford is not just a place to grab a bite; it’s a destination. Whether you’re there for a quick snack, a refreshing drink, or a full-fledged meal, Chaiiwala promises a delightful experience wrapped in culture and hospitality. It's definitely a must-try for anyone keen on exploring the unique flavors of South Asian cuisine right in the heart of Stretford.
“ Our favourite tea spot in the UK Absolutely love their karak chai and iced pink tea. Love the creativity and the variety they offer in their tea menu. When we went there, we were happy to know that they had an offer going on, that you d get a kebab roll with a karak chai, so it was quite economical as well. We also tried their aloo parathas and gol gappay and were delighted with both. Definitely a must try! Taste: 8/10 Ambience: 8/10 Service: 8/10 ”

“ I had the pleasure of interacting with Sana today, and I must say, the experience was outstanding! She was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to assist me. She took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and made sure I felt valued as a customer. Her friendly and helpful attitude really stood out. It’s rare to come across such exceptional service, and I’m genuinely impressed. Thank you, Sana, for making my experience so smooth and pleasant!" ”
“ Recently the service has been a lot better and staff are more attentive. The desi breakfast is lovely. The chai is average however the karak coffee is much nicer. On a warm day it's nice to have the nimbu paani. Another favorite are their pasties. Sometimes it can get busy and not a lot of seating in the cafe itself. Every time I've been it's always been neat and clean. The desserts aren't great. ”
“ Small place, but very clean. The kebab roll was very good. The Pink chai was amazing as usual, but the puri halwa was out of this world - best one I've ever had ”
